Greg to speak at Silicon Valley Comic Con


Greg will be speaking about architecture, robotics and Gita this Saturday, April 22 at the Silicon Valley Comic Con. Other speakers include Buzz Aldrin, William Shatner, Pam Grier, and Adam West.

Digital Space in Basel

The Center for Fulfillment, Knowledge and Innovation will be on display in Basel, Switzerland from April 26 to September 29. The project was originally exhibited in the US Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale as part of the Architectural Imagination. Greg will be speaking about the project and augmented reality on June 28 in Basel.

Greg Lynn FORM and Atelier Swarovski Home


Greg Lynn FORM and Atelier Swarovski developed a set of pieces for an at-home bar that integrate oak wood, stainless steel and crystals for Atelier Swarovski Home. The Coronel collection launches next week at the 2017 Salone del Mobile in Milan.

The Architectural Imagination at MOCAD

The Architectural Imagination exhibition has moved out of the US Pavilion in Venice, Italy and into the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. Our project, The Center for Fulfillment, Knowledge and Innovation along with 11 others will be on display until April 16.

Vertigo at the Pompidou Center

Greg will be in Paris on March 15 speaking with composer Olga Neuwirth at the Pompidou Center as part of the Vertigo: Architecture and 3D Conception event.

Hello, Robot on Dezeen

Dezeen has a feature on the Hello, Robot exhibit that opened last week at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. Two 5-foot tall Mobile Suits from Greg’s personal collection greet visitors as they enter. You can also see 14 of Greg’s 1:100 scale Gundams, plus the 1:20 scale RV Prototype on loan from SFMoMA.

Be3D in Toronto


Greg will be speaking at the Be3D conference in Toronto on March 9. The conference will focus on VR/AR in creative industries.

When is the Digital in Architecture?

Greg will be speaking with Peter Testa, Wolf Prix, and Devyn Weiser about his Archaeology of the Digital series that wrapped up last year at the CCA.  The talk is in Room 160 at SCI Arc on Friday, February 24 at 1pm.

Greg will be speaking at the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics in Tsukuba, Japan on February 28.

PFF Launches Gita and Kilo

Piaggio Fast Forward launched its first two products yesterday.  Gita and Kilo are light vehicles designed to follow a user, move autonomously, or travel in a convoy while carrying 4o lbs. (Gita) and 200 lbs. (Kilo).  Greg explains above, or take a look at the website here:

RV Prototype in Vitra’s Hello, Robot Exhibition

The 1:20 scale RV Prototype begins its 5 year tour of Europe in February for “Hello, Robot. Design Between Human and Machine”. The show opens on February 10 at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany and then travels to the Museum of Fine Arts Vienna in June, and the Design Museum Gent in October.

Alessi IN-Possible Exhibit in Milan


Alessi’s IN-Possible exhibit will showcase products from its archives that never made it to public production, including Greg Lynn FORM’s Grill (2003) and Flatware (2005). The exhibit also features works by Zaha Hadid, Toyo Ito and Ettore Sotsass, among others.

In-Possible runs from December 16 to January 8 at Triennale Design Museum in Milan, with an opening party on December 16 at 7:30 pm.

The Architects: A Story of Loss, Memory and Real Estate

A yet-to-be-completed film about United Architects in the competition to rebuild the site of the World Trade Center after 9/11 will be screened at the Architecture Film Festival in NYC by director Tom Jennings.

Greg Lynn to give keynote speech at CAMX Conference

Greg will be giving the keynote speech at the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo on September 27 in Anaheim. Other speakers at the conference include Julia Koerner, Herwig Baumgartner, and Bill Kreysler. Tickets to the Exhibit Hall and Keynote Speech are free for current students.
